Download my FREE Emotion Color Wheel and discover a simpler way to identify, what you're feeling.
Once an emotion is identified, we have an opportunity to process and learn from that feeling instead of avoiding, resisting, or reacting to it.
One of the ideas behind my Emotional Color Wheel is that our emotions can be traced back to two opposing feelings: LOVE and FEAR
I've arranged opposing emotions across from one another on the wheel, using contrasting colors to make them easy to identify. This gives you another way to explore what might be underneath the emotion you're experiencing. And remember, emotions aren't always experienced in exactly the same way. Surprise, for example, can be experienced as pleasurable or uncomfortable.
You'll notice that the wheel divides emotions into "positive" and "negative" categories. I don't personally believe emotions are positive or negative. Some emotions may simply be more pleasurable to experience than others.
An emotion isn't bad just because it feels uncomfortable.
In fact, every emotion has something to teach us.
Emotions are not the problem. Learning how to identify, process and understand them gives you so much freedom!
The Emotion Color Wheel is not an exhaustive list of emotions, but a valuable tool to help you identify what you’re feeling—the first step in processing emotion. Begin with “I feel … “
Your emotions aren't something you need to fear, fix, avoid, or resist. You can learn to understand them, process them, and move through them with confidence.
And when you understand your emotions, you have more freedom to choose what comes next.
If you'd like to learn how to make every emotion work for you, I'd love to help.
